30 Jun Welcoming the MPM Summer Associate Class of 2025
MPM is proud to welcome our 2025 Summer Associate Class: Joshua García Aponte, Marina T. Rodríguez Seguí, and Camila M. Fontánez Berríos. Each brings a strong academic background and a shared commitment to legal excellence. We look forward to supporting their professional growth as they engage in meaningful legal work throughout the summer.
The program launched with a welcome cocktail at La Dolce Vita, providing our team and summer associates with an opportunity to connect in a relaxed setting. Since then, the associates have participated in a number of enriching experiences designed to deepen their understanding of the legal system in Puerto Rico.
As part of their orientation, the summer associates visited the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico. Guided by MPM attorneys Hedy Nieves, Idalmarie López, and Getzemarie Lugo, the group toured the Court and met with members of the Clerk’s Office, including Clerk of the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico Javier O. Sepúlveda Rodríguez. Justice Ángel Colón Pérez also addressed the group, sharing insights on the Court’s role and responsibilities.
The group also visited the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Puerto Rico. Bankruptcy Judge María de los Ángeles González led a guided discussion on the court’s function and answered questions about bankruptcy proceedings. The summer associates were accompanied by MPM Managing Member Carolina Velaz and Getzemarie Lugo.
These early experiences reflect MPM’s commitment to hands-on learning and mentorship. We look forward to what the rest of the summer holds for this talented group.
