15 Oct Ignacio Labarca-Morales Named to ABI’s “40 Under 40” Class of 2025

MPM is proud to announce that Ignacio Labarca-Morales, Member in our Bankruptcy & Restructuring Group, has been named to the American Bankruptcy Institute’s (ABI) “40 Under 40” Class of 2025.

According to ABI Executive Director Amy Quackenboss, “The distinguished leaders within the 2025 class are making meaningful impacts both in their practice and in their communities.” The program honors 40 individuals under the age of 40 who demonstrate remarkable ability, leadership, and achievement in the bankruptcy and insolvency field.

More than 200 candidates were considered for this year’s class, each evaluated by a 24-person steering committee made up of leaders within the profession. Selection to this group reflects not only professional excellence but also a strong commitment to service.

Since the launch of ABI’s “40 Under 40” program, only three attorneys in Puerto Rico have received this recognition — two of whom, Ignacio Labarca and Carolina Velaz, are part of MPM’s Bankruptcy & Restructuring team.
