We seek individuals who share our philosophy and who will contribute to the diversity, energy and intellectual capability of the firm. We look for evidence of strong academic credentials and excellent writing skills as exemplified by prior work experience, law review or law journal editorships, clerkships and other talents and accomplishments.
The firm offers new associates the opportunity to get involved in client representation as early and as often as possible. We ask our associates to test the limits of their abilities, and assign increasing responsibility to those who demonstrate the skills and development that are necessary to meet that challenge. Working at MPM provides our attorneys with the opportunity to represent diverse clients in complex transactions and litigation. We hire entry-level law school graduates, as well as experienced attorneys, as needs arise in individual practice areas. Our attorneys are encouraged to become involved in community, social and professional activities, outside of the firm.

Our summer program is intended to offer law students the opportunity to experience not only our law practice, but also, and of equal importance, our atmosphere and firm culture. Summer associates at MPM receive work assignments drawn from the wide array of legal matters in which our lawyers and clients are involved. We expect our summer associates to perform at the level of our first-year associates. Much of our entry-level hiring is done through our summer program, although we welcome and seek inquiries from other third-year students and judicial clerks.
Applications for summer associate and associate positions should be accompanied by the applicant’s resume, writing samples in Spanish and English, and undergraduate and law school transcripts.
